Yes, I thought there needed to be a place for my Roos to share their experiences, so why not call it Roobies (like the jewels Rubies). This first post of this series is one of my Roo’s thoughts penned down by me :
My Toot Toot little clients!
These days I drive from one end of Bangalore to another to take these little girls for swimming. I travel about 30 kms one way, takes me about an hour to reach them. From the last one month, I have had severe pain in my shoulder, it was so grim that the doctor suggested I operate it a.s.a.p It was a Tuesday. But how could i operate during a week day, I had to drive this little girls for their swimming! So i scheduled a procedure for Saturday. Not that the Company would not send another Roo, the point was that I loved the look on their faces when I met them everyday!
The 2 sisters are such little dolls!. They play and laugh and giggle and sing! A few minutes late, and I get a call from their mom that they are waiting for me! Wow, do i feel wanted or what!! You know, when i reverse the car for parking, these little girls become my parking sensors, and go “toot, toot, toot, toot and tooooooooooot!!”. I can’t enjoy parking anymore without their sound effects!!
But the most special part about being with them, is spending a better evening with my own son. Everyday, when I head back home, I realise that they way I spent some lovely moments with these two little girls, I need to spend some quality time with my own son too, and this has brought me so much closer to him, much more that I ever was! Every night, we now place Othello before we sleep, I still haven’t managed to beat him though!!
I have done a lot of work earlier too, but this work has brought me so much closer to my family, its a treasure, I cherish them!!
More Roobies to come soon……
